Since its founding, the Valley of Las Cruces has welcomed thousands of New Mexico’s most admired men into the Scottish Rite.

Our Mission

It is the mission of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Southern Jurisdiction, to improve its members and enhance the communities in which they live by teaching and emulating the principles of Brotherly Love, Tolerance, Charity, and Truth, while actively embracing high social, moral, and spiritual values, including fellowship, compassion, and dedication to God, family, and country.

— Scottish Rite Mission Statement

The word well spoken, the deed fitly done, even by the feeblest or humblest, cannot help but have their effect. More or less, the effect is inevitable and eternal.

What We've Achieved

  • Conferred the Scottish Rite Degrees upon thirty-five Masters of the Royal Secret in the last five years.

  • Enrolled in the Valley Member Achievement Program (VMAP) for three consecutive years and met the criteria for each of those years.

  • Increased membership retention and involvement for the past eight years through communication and personal invitations.

  • Performed many service projects in the Las Cruces area and have been recognized as distinguished partners by several service clubs in the southern part of New Mexico.

  • Increased membership engagement through targeted Masonic education and direct outreach.

  • Enrolled thirty-five Masters of the Royal Secret into the Master Craftsman program and have had twenty-eight of those Masters complete the course.

  • Held all four of the required observance feasts for each of the Scottish Rite bodies for the past six years.

  • Been acknowledged for our outstanding achievements in the Scottish Rite by six of the last Grand Master of New Mexico.
