The 2024 Ceremony of Remembrance and Renewal is scheduled for 1 o'clock on Saturday, March 23rd at the Santa Fe Scottish Rite Temple, with lunch served before the Ceremony, at noon.
The Ceremony of Remembrance and Renewal is a traditional springtime observance of contemplation and rebirth and is often referred to as the "Mystic Banquet". Rich in symbolism, the Ceremony of Remembrance and Renewal honors the memory of our departed brethren who have given years of service to the fraternity. Masons, the families of Masons, and the public are welcome to attend the Ceremony of Remembrance and Renewal in the Santa Fe Scottish Rite Temple's theater.
While it may seem like a somber occasion to remember the loss of our friends and brothers, it is also a time for reflection and growth. Because the Ceremony is held in the spring we are reminded that the season is symbolic of growth and that "spring comes again, growth matures, and fruit is eternal".
The Albuquerque Scottish Rite Club's Ceremony of Remembrance and Renewal team will perform the ritual of this ceremony with the usual solemnity due such a moving tribute to our deceased brethren.
Lunch will be served at noon, prior to the Ceremony of Remembrance and Renewal, in the Temple's dining room and all are welcome to attend.
